Skye & Eric wedding in CaliforniaRosa Clará, rosa clara 2017, rosa clara bridal, rosa clara bridal 2017, Rosa Clara Bride
Where was the ceremony held?
La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla California. It was a destination wedding. We Iive in La Jolla CA, but almost everyone else came from the east coast.
How and where did you find your Rosa Clarà dress?
I found my dress at the beautiful Panache bridal shop in Costa Mesa California.
Who made your bouquet? Which type of flowers did it have?
Lavonne, from Adorations in San Diego, created my bouquet with white flowers, peonies, and a lot of loose romantic greenery. It turned out exactly how I envisioned.
Where did you get ready for the big event?
At the La Valencia hotel in the honeymoon suite
Is there a special or fun moment you remember?
This question makes me so happy because there are so many. The moment my husband unexpectedly dipped me during our first husband and wife kiss at the ceremony. And the moment the DJ announced us as husband and wife and we walked in on all of our friends and family cheering us on. My favorite moment of the day though was when my husbands sister delivered his wedding gift to me before the ceremony. He had recorded himself on video explaining each gift and how each were symbolic of the reasons why he loves me. He’s the best! And the sparkler exit was magical!!
Did you wear a headdress?
Yes. I wore a veil with pearls and crystals on the outer edge and a small headpiece on the side of my hair.
Did you put nervous?
I was nervous thinking about having to speak in front of everyone at the ceremony. But that quickly went away after I walked down the aisle and saw my husband to be. I actually didn’t feel nervous from that point forward. I Just had so much fun!
To whom did you give the bouquet?
I kept it, and my mom dried the flowers and used them to create a shadow box of wedding memories for me.
Any original details in your wedding?
My dad passed away when I was 15, so I was always afraid of walking down the aisle without him. Luckily my mom remarried a wonderful man that I call my bonus dad, and he walked me down the aisle. But my mom still attached a charm to my bouquet with my dad’s picture on it. So I got to have them both walk me down the aisle.
Witch car did you use to take you to the church?
It was a destination wedding for my friends and family so we kept everything simple for them by having the ceremony and the reception at the hotel. We did have a San Diego trolley pick up the entire bridal party for pictures, and fun.
Could you tell us and advise to the future brides?
Take it all in, don’t stress the small stuff, enjoy having all of your friends and family in one place, and have fun!
Who was your photographer?
Taylor Abeel and Garrett Richardson. Ah-mazing!
