Where was the ceremony held?

Ceremony had a military protocol, because is the profession of my boyfriend. We live actually in Toledo, but I want that my wedding was celebrated on “Ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Soledad”, in Arganda del Rey (Madrid). It is a small hermitage, but it is lovely and very important to all the family.

Where did you get ready for the big event?

At my parent´s house. We briefly thought about getting ready at a hotel but then decided it’d be more comforting if we were someplace familiar. I got ready beside my sisters, parents and my best friend.

How did you feel when you saw yourself wearing your dress the day of the wedding?

I felt so pretty! And felt like the dress was designed specifically for me.

How and where did you find your Rosa Clarà dress?

I found my gown at the Rosa Clará shop in Madrid. I saw a few models on the website that interested me and I knew I’d want to try on.

What made you choose that model? Was it the dress you´ve always dreamed of?

The wedding planning process took two years. I knew wanted a Grecian style dress and when I saw the 2014th collection I fell in love with one dress. It was stylish, simple and modern.

What type of flowers did the bouquet have? To whom did you give it to?

I decided between three options three days before the wedding. White tulips, paniculata or white roses. Finally I chose the second option because it was summer and tulips were not in season. I loved my paniculata-filled bouquet. It was a classic and romantic design that was seen throughout the all the wedding décor.

I didn’t give the bouquet to anyone. I took it home.

Where was the reception held?

The reception took place at “La quinta de Illescas”; “Los Porches” salon.  It was incredible. All our guests were in awe of venue and with their service. It was a beautiful afternoon so we were able to have cocktail hour in the garden, while the Spanish pop band, “Modestia Aparte” performed live.

Is there a special or funny moment you remember?

There are many moments…. But some stick out in my mind more than others… when the job partners about my bridegroom made a hall with the sabres in their hands, we had to go under them. All the people in the street were watching us.

Later, after dancing the waltz, we showed a special video we made for our guests. They were all amazed.

The funniest moment was when some of our friends decided to play dress up and the guys wore wigs while the girls wore oversized glasses and jackets….it really set the mood for the remainder of the night.

Any advice for future brides?

Be calm. There’s no need to be nervous once everything has been organized. One more important thing- your wedding day is not the day to play dress up. Make sure your dress reflects your personal style.

Who was your photographer?

Ramón from “El Marco Rojo”. We fell in love after seeing his previous work. He is incredible! He makes you feel very special. We wish to have another session with him.
