Our protagonists of the month are Silvia and Josu. Lovers who said “I do” in a beautiful manor in Ourense, Spain. Silvia, a big fan of Rosa Clara, had a clear vision of the dress she wanted. From all of us at Rosa Clará, “congratulations, we wish you the best!”
Where was the ceremony held?
We had a civil wedding at the charming manor house of Pazo de San Damian, in Amoeiro, Ourense.
How did you feel when you saw yourself wearing your dress on your wedding day?
I was elated! The dress was so beautiful and comfortable. I felt like a beautiful bride!
How and where did you find your Rosa Clarà dress?
I’ve always loved Rosa Clarà dresses. Browsing the site was something I often did. So I called the shop in Ourense and scheduled an appointment. I told the consultant which dress I was looking for and she was so helpful. She suggested another dress and fell in love at first sight. It was great!
What made you choose that model? Was it the dress you´ve always envisioned?
Yes, it was definitely the style I was looking for. It was different and I loved it!!
Does your dress have any alterations or did you choose to wear the original Rosa Clará gown?
We cut a bit of the sleeves because they were a little long.
What type of veil did you wear? Where is it from?
I wore a tulle veil that was also from Rosa Clarà. I kept it simple since my dress had sequins and jewels; the veil looked like an extension of my dress. I was not in favour of wearing a veil but I obliged with my mother’s request. I loved it once I saw the pictures!!
How did you accessorize your Rosa Clará dress? (shoes, jewellery)
I donned a floral crown with pink, fume and champagne flowers from “Tocados Letouquete!! A wise choice!!
Shoes were from “Ezzio”; I chose a pair that perfectly complemented my headdress.
What type of flowers did your bouquet have? To whom did you give it?
It was a colourful and wild mix of white peonies, craspedias and pink and white roses. It was beautiful!
Is there a special or funny moment you remember?
When my husband, Josu, put on a DarthVader mask while we were taking our photos, it was only a moment, but I thought: I cannot believe this guy!! I couldn’t stop laughing!
All the guests awaited our entrance into the reception while Beautiful Day by U2 played in the background.
I shed so many tears when I gave my mother the bouquet.
Any advice for future brides?
Enjoy every moment!! It is a special day, for me the most beautiful day of my life, and the most important. Do not dwell on the problems and enjoy every second with all your guests because it only happens once.
Who was your photographer?
Xulio Pazo. Their work is amazing!
