Today we’re sharing a beautiful wedding of a couple head over heels in love. It’s written all over their faces! Antonia chose a natural and elegant gown and made the right alterations so it reflected her personal style perfectly!
Where was the ceremony held?
We had a civil ceremony at the Alcanada´s golf course in Malloraca Spain. It was an emotional ceremony because my sister spoke beautiful words (one of the most beautiful moments into the ceremony). Later my brother-in-law and a friend of ours did the same, so they excited us.
Where did you get ready for your big day?
I stayed at my parents’ house with my parents and my sister, there were many beautiful moments. My mother put a lot of flowers and it was so beautiful. It was one of the nicest times of the day because I could enjoy my family before the chaos ensued. For me the ceremony started in the morning, at home, while I prepared for the exciting events that were ahead. I preferred to have my makeup done at home (by the way, Silvia my hairdresser, is the best in the world, my mother, my sister and I were all satisfied), for me was quiet this way.
How did you feel when you saw yourself wearing your dress on your wedding day?
It was a special moment, after trying on many models, going through the alterations process and experiencing jittery nerves… It was finally time to put the dress on. When I saw myself, I knew I made the right choice and this dress was made for me. It captured my style, adapted to my body, I felt comfortable, I was happy!
How and where did you find your Rosa Clarà dress?
My mother and sister assisted me with my search. I knew how I wanted to look on my wedding day and when I saw the UMA model in the catalogue at the shop in Palma de Mallorca, I knew it was my dress. I tried on more dresses but I knew that UMA was my dress. It is beautiful and had the perfect amount of drama– with jewels and feathered skirt. For me, it was truly impeccable.
What made you choose that model? Was it the dress you always imagined?
It was the type of dress that I was looking for. I fell in love with the feathers!! The first thing I thought when I saw it, was that it looked more like a dress that belonged on the Oscar’s red carpet and not a wedding dress. It had the right amount of drama and romantic appeal for my wedding.
Does your dress have any alterations or did you choose to wear the original Rosa Clará gown?
I liked being able to alter my dress to adapt to my body and my style. The original was beautiful, however I wanted some alterations. I chose a different neckline. My favorite alteration was in the back of the dress. My experience in Rosa Clarà was so good, because the team at the shop in Palma de Mallorca worked so hard and dedicated all the time to make the dress of my dreams. They respected all my ideas and were patient as I tried on a lot of different gowns.
What type of flowers did the bouquet have? To whom did you give it?
I knew the style of my bouquet, I wanted white peonies, and they were the most beautiful flowers that I’ve never seen.
After dinner I gave my bouquet to my sister, she is the most unselfish person I’ve ever known, she always takes care of me, and she helped me with the wedding. I am lucky to have her as a sister.
I also gave a bouquet to my husband’s sister, we love her too much and she is always beside us. And my friends had a little bouquet because they helped me too.
Where was the banquet held?
We celebrated ceremony and banquet in the same place. At Auacanda´s golf club–a beautiful place with exceptional views. We wanted to celebrate the event in this place because it was perfect for us. It is near where I live (something important for me) near the sea (which was indispensable) and we could celebrate ceremony and banquet at the same place. It is truly a stunning venue.
Is there a special or fun moment you remember?
There where a lot of special moments. When I went into church with my father, the other man in my life, my soul mate. Before I entered the church I stopped to hug my mother, she is so invaluable to me, she is always beside me. Another special moment was when I saw my husband waiting at the altar I wanted to hug him. My sister and my sister in law told spoke beautiful words during the ceremony. Giving the bouquet to my sister was another memorable moment. She is the most generous person in the world, she is always beside me, she supports me in all my decisions, she loves me as I am. I need her.
After the first dance, everybody gave us a lot of hugs, our parents were very happy, our friends too…
At the end of the night my husband and I reminisced about the joy-filled day and the long year that led up to it. We enjoyed ceremony, it was one of the best days in our lives, and then my husband said, “let’s repeat this next year”! I found the man of my dreams. I love him so much.
Any advice for future brides?
Enjoy the day, all the moments, preparations, choosing the dress, decor, everything, and when the big day arrives enjoy it because you prepared for months.
Who was your photgrapher?
They were Pepe and Marga, they are the best, we were familiar with their work and we chose them without hesitation. They know how to capture the best moments, lights, everything… We are satisfied with the results.
