Today Paula and Alberto want to share one of the most important days of their lives with us. Both wanted to have an original and different look, And they got it!
Where was the ceremony held?
In “Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación” in Marbella, Spain.
Where did you get ready for the big event?
In the Hotel “Los Monteros” in Marbella.
How did you feel when you saw yourself in your dress on your wedding day?
How and where did you find your Rosa Clarà dress?
I found my dress in a Rosa Clarà store in Velázquez,Madrid.
What made you choose that model? Was it the dress you always envisioned?
It was the dress that I always dreamed of wearing on my wedding day. It was simple, elegant and most importantly—me. I knew it as soon as I tried it on. It was the only dress that I didn’t feel like I was playing dress up in.
Does your dress have any alterations or did you choose to wear the original Rosa Clará gown?
I did make one alteration. Since the wedding was held during the summer, I decided to make the dress more season-appropriate by opening the back. But I made sure to keep the sleeves as I felt it was the most beautiful part of the dress.
What type of veil did you use? Where was it from?
I wore a white, silk and tulle veil also from Rosa Clarà.
How about the complements you wore? (shoes, jewelry)
Complementing my dress was not as difficult as it is said to be for most brides. I chose to adhere to the less is more rule. I wore a Rosa Clará tiara, Cartier diamond earrings, Tiffany’s engagement ring and Jimmy Choo shoes.
What type of flowers did the bouquet have? To whom did you give it to?
My bouquet consisted of white tea roses and wildflowers. I gave it to my cousin Elena, she is like a sister to me; she also gave me the bouquet.
Where was the reception held?
The reception took place in a beach club called, “LA CABANE” in the Hotel “Los Monteros”.
Did you have a wedding planner?
Yes. We hired La Reina Oca, to take care of our wedding planning They did a spectacular job!
Is there a special or fun moment you remember?
I cried throughout the entire wedding. It was full of special moments… My uncle’s gift to us was a new car, my guests and I did a choreographed dance to the song “I Say A Little Prayer”. And my husband and I performed our first dance to “The Time of My Life” from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack—we practiced for a whole year and it was special to experience that accomplishment with our loved ones.
Any advice for future brides?
Treat yourself, and hire a professional to do your make up and hair (I hired Lara´s Lifestyle Salon & Spa in Silvano street in Madrid) and more importantly, enjoy every moment! It goes by so fast!
